External Cleaning & Jet Washing for CIVIC
Overview
NJ Cleaning were pleased to support CIVIC with a specialist external cleaning project designed to improve the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of key outdoor areas.
Working closely with Rosemary Jones and the CIVIC team, our objective was to restore heavily used external spaces, removing built-up dirt, grime and staining to create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and service users.
The Brief
Over time, external walkways, staircases, and communal outdoor areas naturally accumulate dirt, debris, moss, and surface staining, affecting both appearance and safety.
CIVIC required a professional cleaning solution to revitalise several key areas, including:
- Elevated walkway
- External staircase
- Tarmac pathway
- Bin store area
The aim was to improve the overall presentation of the site while reducing slip hazards and creating a more welcoming environment.
The Solution
NJ Cleaning carried out a comprehensive jet washing programme across all identified areas. Using professional pressure washing equipment, our team thoroughly cleaned key areas of the building. The cleaning process removed accumulated dirt, organic growth, staining, and surface debris, restoring the appearance of the surfaces and significantly improving cleanliness throughout the area. The work was completed efficiently over the weekend, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.
The Results
The transformation was immediate and included:
Improved Appearance
The jet washing restored the appearance of key external areas, creating a cleaner and more professional first impression for visitors and building users.
Enhanced Safety
Removing dirt and built-up debris helped reduce potential slip hazards, contributing to a safer environment.
A More Welcoming Environment
The refreshed walkways, staircase, and communal areas now feel brighter, cleaner, and more inviting for everyone using the facility.
Minimal Disruption
By completing the works over the weekend, the project was delivered efficiently with no impact on day-to-day activities.
This project demonstrates how a simple external clean can make a significant difference to the appearance, safety, and overall feel of a site.
