The Brief
Wigan Youth Zone is a vital charity at the heart of our community, providing a safe, welcoming space for thousands of young people across Wigan. Through their facilities, activities, and hot meals, they support local families and young people who might otherwise struggle to access such opportunities.
As a charity, every penny counts, and keeping their facilities clean and hygienic is crucial, but also a significant cost. When NJ Cleaning learned about the vital work Wigan Youth Zone does, we knew we wanted to help make a difference.
The Solution
As a local business committed to supporting our community, NJ Cleaning partnered with Wigan Youth Zone to offer:
- Free cleaning materials to help maintain the site.
- Ongoing support with cleaning requirements where needed.
- A contribution valued at £6,000 per year, helping the charity redirect funds to where they’re needed most.
We worked closely with the Youth Zone team to identify what would have the greatest impact and agreed a plan that would support them in keeping their doors open and their facilities clean without incurring those extra costs.
The Results
✅The Youth Zone saves £6,000 per year in cleaning costs.
✅That saving helps towards funding:
- 12,000 free visits for young people, or
- 1,700 hot meals for local children from families in need.
NJ Cleaning feel proud to be making a real difference in their own community.
By supporting with the cost of cleaning materials, we’ve helped Wigan Youth Zone continue to focus on what matters most: supporting the young people of Wigan.
We’re proud to be a local business, giving back to our community in a way that reflects our values, because we believe that business should be about more than just profit.
