In the first edition of our Meet the Team series, we spend five minutes with Georgia Lafrenz, who plays a key role in supporting and growing the NJ Cleaning team. From recruitment to onboarding and training, Georgia helps ensure every new starter feels welcomed, valued and ready to succeed.
What’s your name and role at NJ Cleaning?
Georgia Lafrenz, I am the Recruitment, Onboarding & Training Co-Ordinator.
How long have you been part of the team?
Since November 2025.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The joy it makes me feel knowing I have helped someone to get back into work or leave a job they aren’t happy with. I absolutely love customer service, it is all I have done for the last 10 years and I think it is so important to make each candidate I interact with feel valued from the moment they apply, to when they decide to move onto new pastures. The recruitment rush can be absolutely manic at times, but this is where I thrive and making a difference to someone’s life makes it all worth it.
How would you describe the NJ Cleaning team in three words?
Efficient, Empathetic & Exceptional.
What makes NJ Cleaning different from other companies you’ve worked for?
NJ Cleaning is possibly the best company I have worked for (and I’m not just saying that because I work here🤣).
From my very first conversation with Neil I understood what his vision is for his company and I really wanted to be a part of it. I have worked with much bigger companies and your opinion doesn’t even get a second look at, where with NJ Cleaning Neil takes on board your opinions; and if it works then great, if it doesn’t then we try another way. To feel really valued as part of the management team makes all that difference.
The flexibility which I am given in my role is a massive help. Another thing that stands out for me is the empathy I have received, in January I found out my Nan had stage 4 cancer and sadly in February I lost my nan. Neil and Jo knew how much my nan meant and still does mean to me, the support they provided in what was one of the most difficult times of my life spoke volumes. To be allowed to leave work to be by her side in the hospital, to take as much time as I needed to come to terms with her loss, to be sent the most gorgeous bunch of flowers to my house (something I have never been given before) – I will never be able to thank NJ Cleaning enough for their love, care & support they have shown me.
Tell us a fun fact about you or a hobby you love?
I’m a fully qualified aesthetics practitioner & love all things beauty.
What’s your favourite thing about working locally?
The commute to and from work (makes all the difference 🤣), but also being a part of the community is amazing. Going to sites what I wouldn’t have ever thought I would be able to go and see or be a part of. I take great pride in working for NJ Cleaning.
